Default Most Popular Digital Cameras of March 2009

Canon continues to gain ground on our list of most viewed cameras for March 2009. The manufacturer claimed six of the top ten spots this month and retained the top position with the very popular PowerShot SX10 IS, although it's worth noting that only one new-for-PMA Canon model made it onto the list this time around.

In fact, even as 2009 models are beginning to hit store shelves, the overall make-up of our Most Popular list remained stable for another month. We're expecting to see some big shifts as long-running popular models are cleared out of inventories and new devices come online at retailers, but with consumer electronics sales down on the whole, better deals on last year's models may keep some of the old standbys of this group on the list well into the summer.

This list of cameras shows you what visitors to DigitalCameraReview.com viewed most often over the past month. The rankings are determined by the number of times a particular product page is viewed by our users. The rankings below are for the entire month of March 2009.

Curious, the new Canon SD780 IS was the one-and-only true ultracompact to make the top ten!!! Interest in the other ultracompacts must be fairly evenly distributed, so that none popped up into the top ten?
