Sigma has released a firmware update for its DP2 compact digital camera.

This update is available to all users of the DP2. Included in firmware version 1.01 is a fix for intermittent camera freeze and an improvement on the Auto Focus feature. The DP2 is Sigma's large-sensor answer to the need for a powerful compact camera.

The camera has a long focal length that gives it the ability to make subjects pop. It is an improvement on Sigma's DP1 through its ability to take portraits and snapshots thanks to its narrow field angle. This update is available from Sigma's web site.
