Adobe Systems has released an update, version 5.4, to the Camera RAW plug-in that is installed with Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0, and Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0. This release includes new DNG (Digital Negative, Adobe's RAW image format) compatibility conversion options, which permit the user to utilize the various image corrections and enhancements found in Adobe's DNG 1.3 specification.

Adobe has also released an update, version 2.4, to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2, which provides camera support for several new camera models including the Nikon D5000 and Canon EOS 500D (Digital Rebel T1i). It also includes corrections for issues introduced by previous Lightroom releases.
