Nikon Coolpix P100 Review Discussion
Barely a year after introducing the Coolpix P90 superzoom, Nikon is back with another "performance series" big-lens model, the Coolpix P100. Where the P90 (which remains on Nikon's website as of this writing) featured a 24x optical zoom spanning the 26-624mm focal range (35mm film equivalent), the P100 goes to 26x and 26-678mm.

The high ISO shots look very clean and sharp. Great job, Nikon.

Re: Nikon Coolpix P100 Review Discussion
Very nice camera.
ISO quality is very clean. Better than Canon SX10, SX20.
The 11.4 photos per second is other very good quality.
In my point of view the issues are:
- proprietary li ion battery. I prefer AA size batteries like Canon SX10. More weighter but more flexible. I can find AA batteries anywhere in world.
- I would like photometer stays on display (like canon). In this Nikon it just appear when you are setting up apperture or obturator.
- The USB connector is not default. The cable are proprietary. I prefer the fexibility to use any mini USB cable, that I found anywhere in the world. (like I have in my Canon SX10)Last edited by cabarini; 07-19-2010 at 11:16 AM.
