    Sony announced by way of its CX-News online publication that it has developed a 14.2 megapixel sensor containing the smallest pixels in the industry.

    That isn't something I'd be bragging about. I guess the power savings are nice, but it'd be better with bigger pixels.

    Will smaller pixels result in better image quality? That's the bottom line as far as I'm concerned.

    Nope, just smaller cameras, which will translate to even greater zoom range.
