    Default Samsung Brings Six Cameras to CES: S1050, S850, S730, S630, L700, L73

    Samsung decided to start 2007 off with a bang and six new digital cameras. There are four new S series cameras and two new L cameras. In the interest of keeping up with things at CES, I'm going to keep things short and sweet. So, without further ado, here they are:

    Samsung S1050

    • 10 megapixels
    • 5x optical zoom
    • 3 inch LCD
    • Up to ISO 1600
    • ASR image stabilization
    • Wise Shot - two shots taken in succession - one with and one without flash - the photographer can choose the one to keep
    • 45MB of internal memory, SD slot
    • Powered by AA batteries or an optional NiMH high capacity battery
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $349

    Samsung S850

    • 8 megapixels
    • 5x optical zoom
    • 2.5 inch LCD
    • Up to ISO 1600
    • Manual exposure modes
    • ASR image stabilization
    • Wise Shot - two shots taken in succession - one with and one without flash - the photographer can choose the one to keep
    • 20MB of internal memory, SD slot
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $249

    Samsung S730

    • 7 megapixels
    • 2.5 inch LCD
    • ASR image stabilization
    • 16MB of internal memory, SD slot
    • Powered by AA batteries or an optional NiMH high capacity battery
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $199

    Samsung S630

    • 6 megapixels
    • 2.5 inch LCD
    • ASR image stabilization
    • 16MB of internal memory, SD slot
    • Powered by AA batteries or an optional NiMH high capacity battery
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $179

    Samsung L700

    • 7 megapixel
    • 3x optical zoom
    • 2.5 inch LCD
    • 11 scene modes
    • 20MB of internal memory and SD slot
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $249

    Samsung L73

    • 7 megapixel
    • 3x optical zoom
    • 2.5 inch LCD
    • 11 scene modes
    • ASR image stabilization
    • Wise Shot - two shots taken in succession - one with and one without flash - the photographer can choose the one to keep
    • 20MB of internal memory and SD slot
    • Available in spring of 2007 for $249

    I have not seen any new cameras from HP at CES - so they may be waiting for the PMA show at the beginning of March. Same story from Canon - that's all I am allowed to say.

    hey ben, so hp has new camera models, but theywont anounce them till march?
