Re: Casio Exilim EX-H20G First Look Discussion
I hope this camera performs very well. I've been wanting a gps camera for quite a while. I have a camera built into my Garmin Oregon 550 handheld hiking gps device, but it's not a very good camera and I'm forced to wait a long time until the device loads its OS before I can shoot a picture...which means I'll never catch a picture of moving wildlife.
Howard, as it seems that you like using the gps capabilities, could you test how long it takes to work? For example, how long it takes to lock a position when you only move a little bit, and then how long it takes when you move a lot from your previous position...let's say, 50 linear miles.Eugene Leafty

Re: Casio Exilim EX-H20G First Look Discussion
I read elsewhere that the camera occasionally powers on by itself somewhat to update its gps info. That should result in a much quicker gps fix when the camera is really turned on. I like that, but hopefully there's a setting to disable that in case battery life is more important than the gps info.
