The T3 makes sense, as the XS and XSi were really long in the tooth. But the T3i? The T2i was announced only a year ago, and the T3i doesn't seem to bring anything new except a couple more megapixels and a swiveling LCD.

Cool Re: Canon EOS Rebel T3i, T3 DSLRs announced Discussion

I'm dismayed that early looks at the T3 report it has a duller finish, even more plasticy, than prior Rebels. Seals the case for the T1i as the most attractive low $$ Rebel for me.

Glass half full, the new T3i should accelerate dropping prices for the T2i and EOS 60D. That's cool.
