Default Nikon D80 User Review Discussion

Released in 2006, the Nikon D80 was Nikon’s follow up to its successful predecessor the D70, both of which are Nikon’s competitive response to Canon’s entry level DSLRs the Rebel XTi and XT. The Nikon D40 and now the D40x were also recently introduced 2006 and 2007 respectively and these now constitute Nikon's primary entry level DSLRs priced more closely to the XT and XTi. Nice review, and interesting pictures; it was a very interesting read. It seems that the high ISO performance is pretty good and the kit lens seems quite flexible.

Very nice review. I'm considering getting the D80 as my Canon XTi, whilst good, feels like somewhat of an expensive toy, than a camera. I guess that's just me though.

yeah the camera is great. definitely a lot more room to grow than the xti... although u pay substantially for it... specially considering amazons offering it @ ~ 50% off but i dont think i would get it just because for me i wanted something that would last longer and see me through changes in needs as i get better @ photography.
