Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 Review Discussion

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 is the current top of the T line of ultra-slim, ultra-compact digital cameras from Sony. It shoots at up to 8.1 megapixels with a stabilized 5x optical zoom lens and you can frame your shots on a large 3 inch LCD. Some newer features, including the already mentioned 5x optical zoom, include a new processor, 9-point AF system, facial detection for auto focus/exposure and HD output.

A 5x stabilized zoom on an ultracompact is extremely appealing. Sure, the lens isn't very bright (3.5-4.5) and the picture quality isn't as good as some other cameras, but for the versatility that the 5x zoom plus stabilization offers in a compact body... it can't be beat

That's how I feel about the Panasonic TZ3.

Not an ultra-compact, but still pretty compact considering its got a 10x stabilized zoom.
