Default Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 Review Discussion

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 is a strong contender in the crowded ultra-zoom digital camera field. The FZ8 captures 7.2 megapixel images with a stabilized, Leica 12x optical zoom lens. so it looks like the manual focus ring is only on the "prosumer" line? My old FZ15 had it, but I don't know where that would fit in the new split line-up

Yeah, their only current model with the manual focus ring is the FZ50. Even their new one (the FZ18) is more of a replacement for the FZ8, so doesn't get the manual zoom ring.

reading this review and others, i can note that this camera is´nt the best to use in close ups shoots. I bought this camera plus a panasonic´s close up lens. Had anybody tried this accesory to improve it close up capabilities?

    waiting replays, thanks
