Default Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 Review Discussion

Most of my camera experience is with DSLRs. Larger cameras are often great, but you can't just slip them in your pocket - at least not a pocket on anything resembling normal clothing. Sometimes, you want a portable camera that's easy to take along, just in case. With a 3-inch touch screen interface and a 3x zoom all wrapped in an ultra-compact body, the 8 megapixel Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 is a nice little camera with some unique features that just might fit this bill.

Good job with the review. The camera looks like it's geared more towards appearance than performance. The picture quality leaves something to be desired for a $275 camera.

Probably a fair assessment, and much the same criticism that the T200 (even more expensive, and the images aren't really any better) has taken in the past. Still, it's a really neat camera to use, and if you're a gadget freak, it simply doesn't get much more high-tech than a touch screen camera.

thanks for the review Caleb. I'm wondering why there's a giant plastic dinosaur outside a McDonald's with that picture. Odd.

That's the Sinclair dinosaur. Sinclair gas was big in the 1950's and 60's.

From our Useless Information Bureau, seems like there's a tiny refinery town out Caleb's way (it's in Wyoming or northern Colorado one) called Sinclair. Never even made the connection between the name and the oil company.

This is a very good digital camera. I love the sleek design and use.
To capture the perfect moment is rare. Always pack a digital camera on the side especially when traveling.
