Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 Review Discussion
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 is the follow-on model to Sony's first DSLR, the entry-level A100, and according to Sony it's faster, lighter, and easier to use than its predecessor, in addition to providing improved noise control and AF acquisition times. Not having ever had my hands on an A100, I'll have to defer to Sony on those points.

Re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 Review
Great review, certainly a capable camera although I would also consider the alternatives to the A200, the A300, the Pentax K200D, Nikon D60, and Canon Digital Rebel XS.

Re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 Review
Sony's definitely got the price to image quality ratio spot on with the A200 as far as I'm concerned, undercutting just about everyone else with a camera that's quite good. Obviously, entry-level DSLRs are a crowded space, and Sony hasn't always been the first name that comes to mind (though they seem to have a stronger presence in the European markets in this segment). Nikon, Pentax, and Olympus options are known quantities, but it will be interesting to see how the forthcoming XS stacks up in terms of both performance (which we can largely guess) and price (which is still TBD for the States, anyway).
