    I love Faststone Image viewer for it's fast rendering and simple controls. Don't let the name fool you. Its more than a viewer. I use it for most of my photo editing because it has all of the necessary tools such as lighting (shadows, highlights, saturation and contrast) colors, levels curves, resizing, etc. Best of all it's free.
