Nintendo announces Wii-focused photo printing service
In partnership with Fujifilm, Nintendo is rolling out a new online photo printing option for Japanese users of the company's popular Wii video game console.

According to a report filed on InfoTrends.com, the new service allows Wii users to easily print images uploaded directly from their consoles to the Wii Photo Channel. The new print pipeline, called the "Digital Camera Print Channel" in the Japanese market, can be used to order prints (in 3.5x5 size only) as well as "Wii Photobooks."
Printing, production, and payment are all handled directly by Fujifilm, and Wii users may be sad to learn that Wii Points are not an acceptable form of payment for prints or photobooks ordered via the channel.
A global roll-out is expected at some point, but per the InfoTrends report, even tentative dates have not been discussed.
