Re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 Review
I went to play with this camera back when I was still shopping, and although the double sensor seemed like such a good idea, it had a significant problem for me, the sensor itself. At 640x480 it's just too low a resolution sensor to allow checking macro focus at all, since enlarging the live view just showed off the pixels of the sensor. It also has the "shimmer" that seems to be common on live view systems, that sort of moving field of noise

Re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 Review
Yep, though in deference to Aaron's point, the optical viewfinder on this thing is pretty outrageously compromised (mostly to make room for the swing-mirror system in the prism). It would be hard to do much better for very precise focusing without a better focusing screen.

Re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 Review
Nice review David. I think the A350 is way too overpriced for the extra features it offers. I personally would never use Live View, and the 14 megapixel resolution is overkill for most people. Just my two cents.
