As Adobe announced today, Photoshop CS4 users can now download a free update for a leaner, meaner Photoshop.

With the 11.0.1 update, Adobe hopes to iron out a few performance issues plaguing Photoshop users. Here are some of the featured improvements:

  • A few issues causing slower performance have been addressed
  • Improved quality of auto-blend layers (stack images)
  • Correct recognition of 3D textures edited by plug-ins
  • Fix for crash that may have occurred when formatted text was pasted in
