DMC-FZ18 Lens Cover

Hi there i just bough tthe DMC and have a question on it. How do I attach the lens cover to the camera? I screwed in the circular black piece, I think that is suppose to remain permanently in, and lens cover can go in then and squeeze to release, but how do I 'tie' it to the camera so I won't loose it when I take it off?

I got a small black plastic loop with it, and there is a hole on the lens cover for it, but I don't see a hole on the camera where I could attach the loop so the lens cover would hang from it when I take off the cover. What do I do with it?
