camerashy and dlynch - the camera has stabilization features so its not from camera shake.
Its not completely blurred but its not sharp either....
Yes, as I said Ive used kodak and am quite happy with it, I just find it pricey and I do print alot of photos out including enlargements.

I imagine no because landscape needs a broad focus.
What metering would be used in that situation?
There is usually mist/fog near mountains. Although you cant see it always with your eye, the camera will magnify it giving it a washed out look....
Are you zooming in at all when shooting?
Zooming in will cause these problems.
I suggest the National Geographic digital photography techniques book.
It covers everything.
