Default Anti-shake symbol gone red

I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3. I have recently been taking a lot of pictures using the zoom. I wonder if that is the reason why the anti-shake symbol in the LCD screen is gone red. Seemingly, this is due to overheating, but I have had the camera switched off for a couple of days, and the symbol is still there, in red. Also, when I switch the camera on, the image shakes for a few seconds before stabilizing. Any ideas of what's wrong with it? Thanks!

escaramuja,
Based on what I'm reading, the only situation in which the symbol shows up red is when the system is overheating, as you noted. Given that it's happening as soon as you turn the camera on, it seems that your anti-shake system has probably (perhaps permanently) malfunctioned.

I'd try to find someone to look at it; I'm not sure if Sony is handling Minolta's repairs these days...

I think Sony still takes care of all Minolta repair/warranty work.
