Default Weird spot on lens

I have a lumix dmc fx 30 and love it, but just noticed today, after a year usage, there's an odd perfectly round smudge/spot in the lower third of the lens. I assume it's the lens as it shows up in pics. It's perfectly round, and a soft grey, shows up only when I point at a light surface, wall, sky, etc. and doesn't really show that well against mixed colors, tree branches.

I think it's too perfect to be a man-made spot.

Any comments welcomed.

Hmm. I'm assuming you've tried cleaning the lens with the appropriate stuff (i.e. lens paper or cloth, solution, etc.)? If not, that would be my first move.

Could you post a pic of what you're seeing?
