    The most likely reasons are:
    1 - The memory stick is inserted incorrectly.
    2 - The memory stock is faulty.
    3 - There's something wrong with the camera's connectors in the memory stick compartment.
    4 - There's a problem with the camera's battery.
    5 - Some other problem with the camera.
