    Hello,

I am going to be taking a 7 1/2 month worldwide trip with plenty of sun, water, dust, etc. This camera looks like the best bet for me, but I was wondering if the the A/C adapter for the battery charger can handle 220-230 foreign voltage as well as our local 110-120. My previous camera (Kodak) just needed an adapter to conform to foreign electrical sockets and I could plug it right in without worrying about it getting fried.

My hunch says that major manufacturers always provide 110-240V chargers. It's not a difficult thing to step down 220V or 110V in the same unit.

I did a bit of research for you to see if this was true for you. Indeed, the included charger LI-40C will work worldwide, provided you have the proper plug attachment.

Make sure you get an extended service option that covers water damage for this camera. You can get it at Ritz--Circuit City and Best Buy do not cover water damage yet even though the camera is designed for underwater use! :)

See my other post on Pentax W30 for more details.
