My 3yo broke our second camera in as many years so I am shopping for a new one. I do not want to spend a ton of money seeing as we seem to go through cameras quickly, however if there is something really amazing for higher than my budget I would consider it. I just want a good camera that takes nice vibrant high quality photos, and is fast enough to catch my kids before they run away or stop smiling! More details below...TIA! (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x) Standard * How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10) 9-10 Do you care for manual exposure modes (shutter priority, aperture priority, manual)? Don't know how to use them! General Usage * What will you generally use the camera for? Taking photos of my kids (they move VERY fast!) * Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? Up to 8x10 Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Yes Miscellaneous Are there particular brands you like or hate? Have had 2 samsungs in the past, the shutter speed is a bit slow. Had a Sony years ago and loved it. I am not too picky about brand though, I just want the best camera for my price range. Are there particular models you already have in mind? No (If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) Wide angle and image stabilization would be nice but not necessary.
