I'm going to be a ways away from buying my own photo printer so I'm going to have to go with some online photo printers. I had some prints made by shutterfly and they came out noticeably darker than the image I supplied. I was not happy with the results. Who do you trust with your prints?

For important work, I have had good results with Mpix (www.mpix.com).

Are you sure that your color calibration on the display side is good? Sounds like it might be a profile/calibration problem.

I've heard that Costco makes some good prints, in-store as well.

I agree with David, I have had absolutely excellent results with Mpix, and their prices are pretty good as well. For things that I want now/aren't a big deal, I use Walmart/Walgreens.

I also use Costco, it's close (for me), great quality and really cheap especially for bigger prints ($2 for 11x14)

Wow, that is really cheap. Now I wish there was a Costco nearby for me.
