I'm asking this question because I'm new to digital.Which camera is better the Canon eos T1i or the Pentax k5? I saw some images shot with the Pentax and they were amazingly sharp. Is the pentax K5 really that much better than the Canon eos T1i? The clarity was unreal and the resolution was also unreal. His file sizes were around 8-10MP.Mine tend to be in the 6-8 range. He was shooting in the Minarets in Yosemite.Let me know.

The Pentax K-5 is superior in most ways to the Canon T1i, including image quality. The K-5 is also much larger and heavier than the T1i. A more apt comparison would be the K-5, K-5II or K-5IIs and the Canon 50D, 60D or 70D.
