If you take motion shots in bright light using auto, the camera will pick a fast enough shutter speed so that you probably won't get blur when shooting normal movement. Shooting with the Kids and Pets scene mode will also increase shutter speed, even for indoor shots. But if the subject is moving too quickly blur may still occur.

The best way to deal with blurry shots is to use a camera that allows user control of shutter speed. Canon makes a few small cameras with this feature, such as the Elph 500 HS, the SX130 IS, the SX230 HS and the S95.

The lens cover on my canon 300 does not quite close, leaving a wiggly line of dust on the lens after a few cycles of opening and closing - even when I keep it in a case. It's been that way since purchase a few months ago. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Guess I chould call Canon but haven't gotten around to it.
