I'm looking for an inexpensive, compact camera.

    Budget: around $150
I want it to be lightweight and compact -- easy to carry around.
    Standard zoom or none.
Image quality is not the main priority. I don't want the photos to be grainy at a medium size, but I also don't need them to be crystal clear.
I'd mostly use the camera for taking pictures of friends and family. I'd like it to have a quick reaction time so I don't need to wait when taking consecutive pictures.
I won't need to make big prints.

I don't really have any models in mind and am open to suggestions.

    Thanks in advance!

I'd check out the Fujifilm Finepix A800, A820, or A920 (whichever you find in your budget). They're quick and priced very well.

Another option, although I'm not sure how well it will be in the "quick reaction" department, is the Nikon Coolpix L series (like the L15).
