Difference between Auto and P mode??

    I am using a Cannon PowerShot S2 IS. Can someone expalain the difference between the Auto and P mode? My old fall back is that I use Auto indoors and P outdoors but I'm sure there's more to it than that.

    P mode will let you choose from more flash options (I believe) as well as let you adjust the white balance, ISO and other settings. Other than that, exposure is still "automatic"
