I use Photoshop but Im still completely lost when really using its features to edit and enhance photos.
I find it very complex and confusing!

Are there any books or anything available on this?

    Plenty of books :D

I recently bought Adobe Photoshop CS for Photographers : Professional Image Editor's Guide to the Creative Use of Photoshop for the Mac and PC.

Theres tons of stuff in there from editing and composing images, removing red eye etc.

Just fyi -- The reviews of this book: "Digital Photography for Dummies" indicate that the author bases the photo editing discussion using Adobe Photoshop Elements. I have only just noticed that today when browsing the book on Amazon.com -

I have two books that I find useful:
    • Real World Photoshop CS2, Bruce Fraser and David Blatner
    • The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers, Scott Kelby

Also, the periodical, Photoshop User, is usually good.
