I joined a particular forum a while back, but never really got "into it", and stopped visiting the site. I got an email from them trying to tempt me back to their site.

Maybe this site should do the same. I know that there may be a concern that this could possibly be spam, but I think that if you just send one or two emails that's not a problem. (I have already gotten five from that site).

When you post in a thread or start one, DCR seems to automatically subscribe to the thread. That way you are always notified via email of any new postings to the thread.

Yeah, but I'm talking about sending emails to members who haven't visited the site in, say 60 days, even if nothing was added to a thread they had posted in.

Definitely a good thought, especially for those people who haven't returned for 6 months or more. It's definitely a lot more active than it was back then.

I agree, that'd be a good option. Also, maybe mentioning it on NBR or BH to drive up some interest.

Brighthand is actually a larger forum than NBR, as it has more registered members. NBR is growing at a faster rate though.

Yes, Brighthand has slowed down though but, this may not stay true as smart phones are now outselling laptops.
    See here.
