I thought that Elements 6 processed the RW2 proprietary files with out conversion. It turns out not to be the case. I can only use the Panasonic Silkypix software to process the files.

I have read according to some reports the LightRoom 2.3 will handle these files with no conversion. I was beginning to really like my Elements 6 (for Mac) and really don't want to have to learn another program whether it be Silkypix or LightRoom. Any ideas on how I can easily convert RW2 to .dng?

    Hello SoCalRich

I've been using a program called Rawker for Mac.
    http://raifra.fh-friedberg.de/Mac/index-en.html

It has been able to open anything I've sent it date. I started using it after I purchased my Fuji S100fs. iPhoto could not open the fuji RAF files. Rawker had no problems, and was pretty easy to use.

I have since purchased Elements 6 for other editing reasons.

    Hope this helps.

Are you able to save to the Adobe .dng format?

You can save files as TIFF, JPG, PNG in sRGB, Adobe RGB or Generic RGB

Did I mention the program was free?

OK... I downloaded Rawker and was able to open and convert to a 16 bit TIF and save the file. When I tried to open it in Elements 6 I got the error it wasn't able to open a 16 bit TIF and wanted to downgrade it to an 8 bit JPG.

The search goes on for a program that can deal with RW2 native files...
