    hi there

i've just recently purchased a second hand D90, and after firing off about 100 shots i popped them onto the computer where i noticed some issues with a few photos:

    1. a JPEG was cropped off at the side where black nothingness took its place
    2. a RAW had some imprint on its side, looking almost similar to a double exposure, and cant be previewed on a mac (i can usually preview my raws)
    3. a RAW that lightroom couldnt open.

thoughts on how to proceed, anyone?

Something is obviously wrong with your camera but I'm sorry that I can't help you identify the problem.

Your situation illustrates the problem with buying used camera equipment. Unless you buy from a reputable, reliable seller, you could get burned.

hi all, thanks for your replies!

i'm going to try a firmware upgrade, and hopefully it's a software issue that will resolve itself. unfortunately, i'm leaving to go on a holiday tomorrow so im unsure as to whether i could get a replacement this quickly :S

    thanks!
