when taking a picture on the k-x, is it normally a bit slow from snapping the picture before it actually shows on the lcd? not as quick as normal point and shoots.... just wondering if this is normal for this camera? what card size should one have for this camera?

I am a photographer -not a technician - and don't know the answer to your question. This said, I use the wonderful K-7, which also takes a while before displaying the image after each capture. I use mostly Scandisk Ultra cards, but don't know how much the reading speed of card has to do with the delay before the camera shows a captured photo.

Sandisk Extreme III are the fastest cards out there right now, but they are not cheap. Get a 8g if you can and if you shoot vids. All Real DSLR's take a second for the photo to be processed in JPEG setting
