I have been looking to buy a new camera but would prefer to wait until after the new UltraZooms come out and after the PMA show in March. April or May is my target.

I was able to fix the flash not opening problem with my Z650. So now I have a working camera again. This is a 6.1 MP camera. I would like to make 8x10 prints using this camera. The photographer aside, is this a realistic expectation for this camera to produce that kind of quality?

If not I was thinking about picking up a Panasonic FX35 in the interim while I'm waiting.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :)

socalrich, i got this table from the specs of your camera, this detail could help you answer your question:

    6.0 MP: best, prints up to 20 × 30 in. (50 × 75 cm)
    5.3 MP: best (3:2), optimized ratio for 4 × 6 in. (10 × 15 cm) prints
    4.0 MP: better, prints up to 20 × 30 in. (50 x 75 cm)
    3.1 MP: better, prints up to 11 × 14 in. (28 × 36 cm)
    1.7 MP: good (small prints)

Since the camera is Kodak, I went to the Kodak web site and search for the camera model. Sometimes, looking at the camera specifications helps you to know more about your camera, and I guess it can also be seen printed on the box :D
