My Kodak v803 that I bought in May now shows that it is charged (lights on and not blinking) but when I push the on/off button the screen shows "Kodak EasyShare" for a second and then goes off. The lens doesn't retract and nothing else happens. Broken? (It should still be under warranty, but I can't find my receipt.) Or is there something I should try? Thanks.

It sounds like there is something wrong. There could be some sort of short-circuit that keeps the camera from powering on all the way, or something wrong with the lens, so that it won't extend and the camera is shutting off to prevent further damange. Definitely see if you can get it serviced under warranty.
