    Hello,

I had a couple of questions on modulation transfer function, would be grateful for any responses.

How does the modulation transfer function (MTF) relate to angular resolution? my understanding is that the curves on the MTF sets the limit for angular resolution, is that correct?

Would the angular resolution be different for the various tones in the light, and for visible light one would get multiple angular resolutions?

In digital cameras, does the size of the sensor have an effect on the minimum angular resolution?

OK, i did a bit of research and now understand MTF charts.

the MTF chart i worked out traces MTF% vs line pairs per mm (lp/mm) but came across the LW/PH or the line widths per picture height.

what is the picture height is this a constant quantity?
