I currently have the Nikon Coolpix L620.
I like the quality of the pictures, but the camera is way too slow. I just had a baby so I need a camera that is quick at taking the pictures but still has very good quality.
I have a pretty low budget, (the l620 was $180)

Canon makes excellent small point and shoots that take good looking pictures and have speedy performance. The Canon Elph 340, which you can purchase for well under $200, is considerably smaller than your L620, has less zoom (12x) but is considerably quicker.. For another $20 you can buy the Canon SX510, which is a bit larger than your L620 but is quicker with better battery life and has much more optical zoom,- 30x.
