I am looking at various lenses for either a D60 or a D90. I would be interested to hear any real world experience that you have using this lens.

1.) Do you have the VR II
2.) Any problems with pincushion, barrel distortion or chromatic aberration?
    3.) Any macro experience?
    4.) IQ opinions?

    Thanks... :D

Ken Rockwell is one of those who's very happy with this lens.

You can read his review here. Personally, I was not impressed by it, but it is a convenient walk-about lens.

the 18-200 just doesn`t feel right on a d60. the body is too small and with that lens the camera feels unbalanced.

It's a case where you carry your lens, with a camera attached to it .. much better than a D60 with a 70-200VR on it.

I have personally always felt that the D40 and D60 were too small. They don't feel good to hold for me, and I have average sized hands (male). I would say, though, that I would prefer one general purpose lens over have a more balance lens that I always had to switch out.
