poor auto focus

    i am having some problems with the auto focus on my k10d,i am using a sigma
    18-50 mm 2.8 ex lens,this problem does not happen with my older smc pentax lenses,i am now looking to replace the sigma lens with an older manual pentax wide angle lens.any ideas ????

    Alright, what are the specifics of the problem, then? Is it just consistently failing to lock correct fine focus?

    yes, & it is peculiar to the sigma 18-50 2.8 ex lens,my older pentax smc lenses are much better

    That's odd, as I saw a quick improvement in low-light autofocus when I started using the sigma 18-50 2.8 on my K10. Is is possible to see how it acts on another camera?
