It started while photographing indoors, no water, no wind, no dust... Every time I turn it on, the lens opens and I can get into menu, I can change settings, but I can't use zoom (lens stays in one position) and no focus. When I press the shutter, I get a message "Please turn camera off and then on again." When I turn it off, all shuts down, but the lens stays open. After turning on the lens closes and opens again. The only way to close it is to turn it on and when the lens closes, open battery slot. The only thing what works well is review of images. Camera is now unusable. Can you help me?

Try resetting the camera to its default settings. You'll find the reset entry in your setup menu.

The most usual problem with compact cameras is a stuck lens. But your lens works - it has no problem going out and coming back in.

Have you tried new batteries? Maybe the camera isn't getting sufficient power.

Yes, I tried 3 pairs of different fully charged batteries.
