I am far from a camera pro, but I would like an entry level tripod for my digital SLR. I am interested in taking some zoom photos, but they always come out blurred. I assume a tripod would help this problem, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. I would also like it to be fairly portable. Also, which would be better, a tripod or unipod? Thanks for your input.

how portable are you talking about? do you want to carry it around all day or just for a little while? also what price would you like to spend.

Well you can get mini tripods for $10, but I would think they are not too stable.

There is also a Shintaro Deluxe Camera Tripod, i think its $40-50 and very good quality too.
