I have a Sakar 60-300 that has been sitting idle for about 15 years. I put it on a Sony a57 and the camera drove it past infinity and it stuck there. I managed to unstick it with a small screw driver but if I put the camera in AF it keeps doing the same thing. MF seems to work ok albeit with a "tight" spot about midway. Can I put a drop of light oil in the rotary mechanism in the base?

    Thx
    Mike

There's special oil that's used on cameras/lenses. I suggest you do some research to find out exactly what to use.

    Re: Sakar 60-300 sticking

Thanx, I will look around. Sorry about the title, I have corrected it. It obviously should be 60-300.
