My wife has an FE340 Olympus, that has a spot on the LCD screen, that shows up in her pictures.
We think it happened when it fell out of her pocket and hit the floor.
My question is, is it worth having repaired? My thoughts are that we might be better off to purchase a new camera.
I am considering calling Olympus for an estimate.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank Jim

You must have something on the lens or on the sensor. It may have resulted from dropping the camera.

The Olympus FE340 was a nice camera for its time (and still is) but you can buy a new camera for about $150 that's much better than the FE340 in every way. For instance the Canon Elph 100 HS and the Panasonic FH-5 are superior small cameras and even do fairly well in low light (especially the Canon). You should keep this in mind when you get the estimate from Olympus.

Thanks for the info Andy. I think you are correct.
I talked to someone at Olympus service, and they said send it in for an estimate. He thought it was probably the sensor.
Iasked what they charged for looking at it, and he said to send it in and if it was too expesive to repair that they offered other options. He did not elaborate.
We are looking for another Camera. Thanks for the tips. Jim
