As the owners of the Canon SX40 HS know, there is no cord to attach to the camera for shots taken on a tripod. (remote trigger?)

As a beginner I was not aware of this important fact until after I bought it. What is the best way of getting around this?. I presume that using the time setting would be best, is there any other crafty way?

    Regards,

Using the timer is only way I know of to take the shot without having to press down the shutter button on the camera.

Too bad Canon didn't include remote trigger on this fine camera.
