Here's a page where you can find accessories for the FZ30. They have a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens and a close up lens. You just have to buy an adapter to fit their additional lenses on.

What would a telephoto lens do?
Is that the same as a big zoom lens?

jessica, yes thats exactly what it is.

A lens with a narrow angle of view, a longer-than-normal focal length, the ability to magnify images, and exhibiting relatively shallow depth of field.

A simple addition, a telephone lens has a fixed focal length whereas a zoom has a variable focal length.

Why would someone buy a telephone lens instead of a zoom? Simply put, they yield better quality results for a given focal length. The problem is that they are bulky to carry (say you want a 100mm, a 200mm and a 300 mm focal lens – with telephoto you’d carry three lenses while with a zoom you could find one that fits the whole spectrum you’re looking for). Oh, not to forget the cost as well!

    telephone lens? hehe
I think you mean 'telephoto' ;)

I thought its the same as a zoom lens? They look the same and do virtually the same thing anyway.
