I'm thinking of switching from my Canon eos to a Pentax K 5. What do you think? The Pentax produced some awesome photos. The Pentax is sippose to be better than the Canon but I hate to switch and not see the difference.I'm generally happy with the Canon but the Pentax was so much clearer.

Depends in large part on your buying habits. I live in a big city, with no camera stores carrying Pentax, so I would be limited to buying Pentax online. Of course these days plenty of people buy stuff online, sight unseen. I was unaware that Pentax images are any more awesome than Canon or Nikon. Awesome photos are usually the result of careful photographers, or advanced post processing, or both. Very rarely the result of gear choice.

If these Pentax shots that are so much clearer were taken by a friend, ask him to meet up with you for a shoot. See what steps he takes in making the shot, plus his post processing. Then compare those results.

Pentax cameras are not necessarily better than Canons, or the other way around. It depends which models you're considering. For instance, as I said in one of your previous posts where you compared the Pentax K-5 to the Canon T1i, the K-5 is superior in many ways but the K-5 is a different class of camera. A more apt comparison would be the K-5, K-5II or K-5IIS with the Canon 50D, 60D or 70D.
