I've had a cheapy HP Photosmart M425 5.0 megapixels camera for years and years and it really has done an excellent job all the time. No problems with it until just recently I unloaded it by taking the memory card out of the camera and putting it into the slot on my computer (as I always do)

All was well but when I put the memory card back in and turned the camera back on it said "Card has wrong format"

I've changed nothing on this camera and I made sure it wasnt locked.

*After taking the batteries out I noticed theres a tiny gold wire sticking out from where the memory card slot is and it makes it difficult to put the battery in.

I'm thinking something got out of whack on this and I'm really worried I won't be able to fix it. Its completely abnormal!

I tried pushing the wire back into the tiny slot but its really hard to do and doesn't seem to work.

Any help or advice I'd really really appreciate it!

It sounds as though your camera has a problem that needs a professional repair job. It may be time to buy a new camera.
