How about this then?
Today I got a Cannon A570IS. Its a good backup camera for the D70, I think.
Good choice. I know I've said this before, but I advise you to pick up some 2000 mah Sanyo Eneloops. They last a long time between charges and don't drain when not used, like regular NiMH rechargeables.
I'm debating about it. The hold up right now is that I have a set of Energizer rechargeables and all that right now, so I know they aren't the best, but don't want to spend money on something I don't need right now. But, with more photography, I will need more batteries, so I will upgrade sometime.
Congratulations on the new acquisition, Caleb.
It's a beautiful thing for sure, but I think I'd rather have the 10 fps of the 1D Mark III over the 1Ds's obscene resolution.
The only way I'd spend that kind of money on a camera would be if they put a V8 in it, added 4 - 18" wheels and a steering wheel and stuck a license plate on it.
By the same token, though, you can't take pictures with a car...
Touche!! It's a thing of beauty but it would be an utter waste in my hands. I lack the talent and the patience to operate a gorgeous piece of equipment like that.
Good choice I also picked up the same camera this pass Monday, and I love it,
