Hi I want to buy a new camera. I'm looking to spend in the range of $300- $450.
I want to have high quality images & manual capacity. I'd like the camera to have raw.
I'd like the camera to be as light as possible for what I want.
I'd like the screen to be mobile so that I can adjust it for viewing in different lighting conditions.
I take a lot of macro style photos so that is also important.

    regards Maeve

Close-up macro shooting is easiest with compact "one lens" cameras, but there are few that also have RAW ability and a movable LCD screen. Probably the camera that most meets your requirements is the Olympus XZ-2, a compact camera with a relatively large 1/1.7 inch backlit CMOS sensor for good low light ability and fast operation, RAW ability, manual controls, macro focus range of 1cm and a tilting LCD screen. Image quality is very good. Its price probably exceeds your maximum (if you see it priced less than $450 make sure the retailer is legitimate). If you leave off the requirement of the movable LCD screen, the Olympus XZ-1 is very similar to the XZ-2 but is well within your price range. The Nikon Coolpix P330.also has the elements you want (except for the movable LCD) and is also within your price range.

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but the new GoPro Hero 3 black edition blew my mind. It can do so much including shoot 4k video. May not be right for your needs, but it's a great camera for that price range if presentation in front of the client is not important.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i sounds perfect for what you need. I think it runs a little higher than you want to spend, but it fits everything you mentioned you wanted.

The Rebel T3 is also a good choice but lacks the adjustable screen. Its closer to your price range I think.
